In fairness, because there is still a committee meeting happening I would have come anyway. However, I probably wouldn't have booked accomodation in that instance.
Still, I am sure we'll all have lots of fun.
Is anyone else staying overnight on the Sat or Sun nights? I am staying both nights and would be up for a bit of socialising.
I will have another forum member, Stuart Quinn-Harvie, with me, and we will be mobile in his car (not electric: please don't hit me).
Maybe all the committe (and anyone else who fancies it) should come up on Saturday and we should take them all out clubbing in a local night-club on Saturday night, if there is one *giggle*. Now there's a mental image.

Would have loved to have come to both meetings but as they had both been chosen on Bank Holiday weekends I already had those dates booked up from late last year
Ah well maybe next time. Its worth going along to any of our meetings as its good to let the committee know what you the membership want from the BVS

I reject reality and substitute my own !!!!!!
I cannot attend the new AGM date because its a bank holiday and the kids are off for half term.
I am furious that the BVS have decided to change the AGM date at such short notice. It sums up everything that is bad about the BVS at the moment. Utterly pathetic.
I will be around this weekend, and I'll be bringing my G-Wiz with me. I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can then, and I most certainly will be voicing my complaints to the committee.

I was at another BVS member's house yeserday when Plugged In arrived.
The notification that the AGM date has changed was hand written on the back of an A4 insert where the date had been altered by hand.
Given that this alteration is barely noticeable and it's on a piece of paper which I can't help but think most people will simply ignore I am sure that there's going to be people turning up at the venue still expecting it to be the AGM.
Those of us here on the forum are trying our best to raise awareness of the change which I don't think any of us here are happy about or particularly agree with but we've had our say about it and that's all we are able to do as the decision has been made to change the date.

I imagine we may end up effectively having an AGM split over 2 dates!
I have suggested two things to the Chair for people who turn up this weekend expecting an AGM, and are also unable to attend the new date:
1) They be allowed at least to register their votes for whichever committee members they would like to see in office for the coming year.
2) They are invited to make any points/suggestions they would like to be considered by the committee and/or raised at the full AGM in their absence.
I shall be sure to bring my laptop so I can take notes!

Those in the committee will see my rather unbarred response in the committee section
I shall be there on Sunday, as will Kate and a car load of people. We'll hope to get things sorted eh?
I vote we have a meeting!
