rolling resistance of quad bikes

Postby cedric.lynch » Wed Mar 05, 2008 3:50 pm

Another reason why most quad bikes have high rolling resistance and horrible steering on the road is that they have no differential but a solid rear axle. On a loose or slippery surface this is not a problem (and you still have traction when taking a corner on two wheels) but on the road the wheels are fighting each other except when going in an exact straight line.
