Back lash in driving gear between armature and gearbox?

Does anyone have any idea what i was on about a couple of months ago? Ive slept since then and the note i made ona bit of paper makes even less sense now :?

I have looked at the August thread, I assume you have too. Grumpy is the main man if you need parts. Did you check the brushes yet?

Yeah, grumpy sent me some new brushes which made no difference. Also kindly sent pdf of manual, with which a friend fiddled about, whilst I was away and got the orange warning light out but still no change..

The rear bottom motor mount bush is shot and with wheels off ground that is where the 20 clunks per revolution is experienced. I'm sure that is a clue.

Tbh, I've had other stuff on my mind and hadn't had chance to concentrate on this job...
