Why buy an EV over a hybrid?

Do you own or use a EV. Then this is a good place to discuss things.

Hi Guys, I know the last post on this subject was in 2010 so how about an update. Do you all have the same opinions or have things moved forward?
I purchased a Berlingo Electrique recently as stated in other parts of this forum and I and many other petrol/derv heads find this vehicle fascinating. I presume PSA found it too costly to keep developing these vehicles which is a shame, they obviously didn't realise what they had. Apart from a battery temperature sensor going awry this vehicle has surprised and delighted me. I would be interested to hear from the current (No pun intended) generation of Berlingo Electrique owners are doing with theirs and in comparison to mine.
ps I don't understand why people take offence of "Milk Float" comments. They were/are fit for purpose, did a great job and in busy urban areas are able to keep up with todays traffic.
