Kalkhoff Pedelec Electric Bikes

Postby MaryRCrumpton » Sun Mar 23, 2008 10:09 pm

Evening all,

I recently ordered myself one of these:
http://www.50cycles.com/tasman_details.shtml

What do people think of these bikes? Will I be pleased with it?

I am expecting it to arrive sometime in the next couple of weeks when the shop's stock comes in :-)

Just wondered if anyone had any advice about owning a Kalkhoff bike, or about Pedelecs generally, as this will be the first electric bicycle I have owned.

Thanks,

Mary.

I'm not familiar with that particular bike Mary, but the components are all high quality and the Panasonic bottom bracket drive is highly rated. Driving through the gears means it should have very good hill-climbing ability and low-end torque despite only having a 250W motor (UK legal max). Let me know what you think of it!

Thanks for the reply Malcolm.

And yes, I'll let you know. ;-)

I was rather hoping that I might have it in time to show you at the Mancheser meet this weekend, but never mind. I am sure I will get the chance to show to you another time.
