Aprialia 250 RS conversion

Postby ev virgin » Thu May 07, 2009 7:49 am

Can anyone help me. Looking to convert an Aprilia 250RS or possibly CBR/CBF to electric. Still looking for a donor bike but have a good idea of what I want to achieve. I want to try to keep the origional lines of the bike. Need some help with wiring spec/component parts. Maybe simple diagrams. Thanks

Hi there,
I can probably help alot, I've converted an RS 125, I believe it has exactly the same frame. Theres some old video of the RS here, along with newer video's of a Ducati. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Joz ... iew=videos
Since the Aprilia was filmed there,, I changed to Kelly controllers and Agnimotors, having found them to be the best combo for a bike of this size.
I run a small EV conversion business in Sussex, your welcome to come try a bike if your close enough..

Thanks for the info. Based in Lancs so not very close to you. Link to YouTube didn't work. Tried your web site but videos came up as private. Thanks all the same. Still researching. Read a thread on net saying Lithum-ion Batteries/chargers are very hard to set up and use as the technology isn't up to scratch. Also not commercially available. Any truth in this or is it an old thread?
