NiMh best practice any advice?

Anyone here got any definitive advice on best practice battery management with NiMh batteries?

Hi James

Are we talking domestic type cells i.e aaa, aa, c, d, size etc or industrial type stuff.

Also in what application are you using them in ??

mmmm I'm not upto speed with what cells vectrix fit to be honest.

I presume it comes with its own charger etc so it will carry out all the management side of things for you ??

I'm going for a NiMH chemistry, likely in AA as it's cheap. I'll be making up packs of ten and then hooking them up to make a 48v battery. Do you have any advice re charging (I know they are charged at 10% of their ampage rating and that's it, but I'm nervous about charging two sets of 12v packs worth between £10-£40! not to mention keeping 'em cool and so forth.

So if anyone has any advice... or words of wisdom... I might start a thread on it as well, specially after the postal strike is over and I can take delivery of the things!
