The Saft charging is quite complex, but it is a constant current / constant voltage ending up at about 8 or 8.15v, with loads of other things taken into account. But its also based upon the power stored and assumed as being discharged. It will reset the power meter to 100 when it thinks its stored a bit over 100ah in the pack. The attached is the SAFT technical specification of the charge cycles.

If its a constant CC/CV charge.. If the Voltage cannot go higher than the lithium packs charged Voltage then they ought not to get overcharged. CC will save the charger from melting.
Then the rest will need to be spoofed. Say if the current drops enough, make the temperature sensor pins go "hi".

It's all easy saying it though.

You need to fully read and understand what the document says. Its not a simple CC / CV. If the Sagem controller follows what SAFT directed, which I have no doubt they did, then a considerable amount of parameters are programmed into the controller making it far from a simple spoofing of a few external items to get it to work as we require. Especially since it is supposed to measure and log the AH stored, and the SAFT Cells store 100ah, so if you use less you will substantially over charge them, if you have larger AH cells then you will never get them up to full storage .

Hi Grumpy. I fully understand where you are coming from. Please re-read my previous post. It's not about using the original charger as it was designed. The idea is to spoof/bypass it.

No matter. It's not us getting stuck in.

As you know, EVTV has found an incredible AH (coloumb) counter. http://sendyne.com/Products/SFP100%20Cu ... odule.html
So if the voltage never exceeds what the pack requires, ever, then its not an issue even if it stays on.

Li's simply don't need balance charging. Unlike chemical cells.

No idea.
But the wheels have dates, the radiator has a date lable and so do many sections of the wiring loom. What reg is it. They seem to have been produced in batches. I have never seen a 2000 and earlier one with a side door, but a lot of the 2001 and later do have them. What terminal box are you refering to.

A friendly Citroen dealer can tell you the age from the VIN, talk to the parts department, the info will be in their system.
