BMA 56volt 1950 small convertable

Postby mike coleman » Sat Apr 03, 2010 2:38 pm

I have recently bought this car and am looking for advice on batteries and wiring.I am a new member and am having trouble finding any information. I found the car in Fife in Scotland and brought it back to Peacehaven in Sussex where it was manufactured at hazeldene garage in 1950. The car is a 2 seater micracar and carried a bank of 9x 6volt batteries type YDS21332.27 cells. The car itself is in very good condition having been bodily restored (red) new hood. Most of the wiring is in place but needs to be connected, there is a large resistor with three connections under the bonnet, a 4 speed control box attached to the steering column with a 2hp motor within the back axle (I think milk float tech.) Can anybody help me with information or a wiring diagram?
