Mega cheap 12v light bulbs

Postby badnewswade » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:34 pm

I noticed someone gave their fave ebayer for 12v bulbs a plug, they seem expensive so if you're on a budget and want to build your renewable lighting system bit by bit, I can heartily reccomend Mr. Happy-Nice! :-)

His bulbs work out at about a £5 a throw, although you'll need about four or five per room, unless you're talking about the shed or something. He did once send me those annoying blue ones by mistake and there's not a lot I could do about it, but they aren't that bad when you get used to 'em.

I do like using DC as you don't have to jump in and buy a car battery and invertor straight away, instead you can run your renewables on old AAs for a while, which seems much safer...
34 Watt Hours per mile, or > 700 MPG. What, me, smug?

Pity they're only LED. The only guy I can find selling 12v non-LED low energy bulbs is this guy
