I see nobody is interested in the G-Whiz on E-Bay at £1,200. Does anybody know how much a set of new batteries would cost for these cars? Also, does anybody know what the realistic range for a G-Whiz is?

You need 8 of them, I think. So - £1160.

I got the link from our Member Discounts - GWIZ batteries forum page, although the link there didn't quite work, so I had to hunt around the store website a bit to find the T125. There are details on that forum page on how to get a 10% discount and free shipping. Details supplied by Tim Nicklin.

Other battery suppliers are available, including http://www.powercell.co.uk/products/6v_ ... blocs.aspx who are also mentioned on that forum page. Again, their website as linked is uninspiring. Maybe they are too busy selling batteries.

Probably a better deal than getting a pack from ebay : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/G-Wiz-Replacement ... 2c544ca2ff

The AC drive one looks like it might go for a bargain price, too: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2007-REVA-G-WIZ-A ... 2a0deef29d

I'm almost tempted to bid for it, remove all the lead acid batteries and convert it to lithium. It'd probably be a little cracker without having to lug all that extra weight around.
