I think Chris that they actually do provide only renewable energy :D

There is a verification report from Independent Accountants (Nexia Smith and Williamson) detailed in their latest leaflet "Living Our Values".

Incidently there is a photo of our WT on the contents page of this very leaflet :D :D :D

It also has a lot of very interesting figures in it eg.
Over 500 home generation customers
Nearly 50 larger generators
etc.
Proven 6kW Wind Turbine
3.8 kW Solar PV

Its intersting the difference between the various companies.
Good energy buy most of their power from small generators, and after a share listing used the money raised to buy a pre existing wind farm. Eco tricity will buy your power, if you do generate but they actually build new wind generators paid for from revenues and commercial lending. My support for them is not based on using 100% supposedly green power as a number of others claim but that they are actually investing in new major infrastructure.

We all have different approaches to what we want to do on the green front, so take what ever approach suits. Even companies like EDF and Eon do invest in new renewables, and probably do even more than the small companies, but it still makes only a small % of their overall energy production.
