any old iron... (Q for motor pro's)

well not quite any old iron - what I'm actually after is info on any old motor armature / stators of multi layer variety that I could adapt for my needs, before I go to the expense of having stator plates cut.
ideally it would need to between 16 and 22 cm diameter with between 30 and 40 teeth for winding.
If anyone has a lightbulb moment on an old motor they've seen stripped down that might have seen something useable I'd appreciate a nod. I usually build motors considerably smaller than this so all the usual routes are out the window!
