Hello folks. I'm so glad that i found this place. I was looking lately at all of those electric vehicles an i want to build one and give my input to greener planet:). Sorry if sometimes my english would be hard to understand, i am lithuanian.

So here it goes. I want to build a 3 wheel vehicle, 2 seater. 2 wheels front 1 drive wheel back. i would like to use rover mini or something small like fiat saichento(dont know spelling). for the back i would like to use bikes back.

I was looking at that NMG and i liked it. Can you please list the parts i need so i could dig deeper :) and if you can sugestions for motor, batteries etc

The rover mini wights 690 kg, so take out engine, gearbox back wheels and it will go down i think by half at least.
I was thinking about using same motor as in nmg but with optima bluetop 5.5 batteries (75Ah).
I was thinking of changing motobikes gear on the wheel and motor side to aluminium pulleys and belt instead of a chain.

What range i woud achieve with such setup as well as max speed.
For me perfect would be 50 miles range and 65mph top speed

The component price is also important. Thank you for taking time and reading.

P.S. I do have fabrication and electronics skills

Hi and welcome to the BVS

From the sounds of it the vehicle you need is a Berlingo, it does exactly what you want 50miles range and a top speed of 65mph 8)

And its ready made and waiting for you to drive, building a conversion can actually be quite expensive and time consuming, I learnt that one when I did my fiesta.

Hi. Thank you for reply. What i was ment is that i want to build one because thats the beauty of the whole deal to drive something no one has and the actual built process is enjoyable a lot.

I would like someone to sugest a motor, controler and batteries to achieve my aimed specs or even exceed them.

the budget would be
around 3000 pounds for batteries
around 2000 pounds for motor and motor controler
500 for bits and pieces

Thank you in advance
