Ah! I wondered why I was getting so many people viewing the photos, before I'd even finished uploading them! Will upload the rest ASAP, although the new camera makes the process slower due to the larger file sizes. I'll also add tags wherever it makes sense, to identify the cars, and place the photos on the Flickr map.

Thanks for your kind comments, too!

I reckon the polish effect on the Berlingo is due to the rarefied air at the top of Ditchling Beacon...

I've now finished uploading the photos of the London to Brighton run to Flickr!

You'll find them at the address Nikki posted above.

Also, thanks to Kelvin (qdos) for driving the Zest as the camera car for the day.

LOL no we couldn't catch up with you with those Lithium Ions and we kept trying to follow the google route which gave us street names hidden in bushes! We think we were set up cos I had a petrol engine and handed a different route  It was great fun all the same :D Next year though hopefully there will be a new secret wepon set lose and then you'll wish you could have one too!

Ah! Now the gory truth is emerging.... I followed two back markers up Dicthling Beacon, and having stopped to discuss their achievement we all decided that Nikki and the front-runners had gone so fast that they were out of sight and already nearly in Brighton. (Or had chickened out and gone down the A23 - perish that disloyal thought!) Thus I was surprised to see them all charging up at the foot of the Beacon when I got back down. I wondered how I had passed them....

But I'm sure certain people did not get "lost", but merely had an unexpected spontaneous route variation.
