Once you get up to speed and the motor isn't under so much load it really gets quiet.
But yes, there's a bit of noise at start up. Less than a G-Wiz though. You can always come and have a go in mine, Chris.

yes, indeed, since 2 weeks I drive this Twike.
but I have to invest in new batteries because the range is only 30 km. (My daily trip is 36).
I wonder, if I take NiCd or LiFePo4 batteries. I have a friend who tries to create a BMS for ThunderSky batteries.
He promis me a range of 200 kms but I have to wait a few month.

In the City-El I have NiCd (Saft 5 MRE 100) like PSA batteries, 48V and 100Ah. It gives me a range of 65 km.

I can highly recommend REAP systems as a good BMS supplier. I have one in my El.
In fact, I'm slowly putting together a design for lithium Ion packs for an El which can be simply plugged into the existing setup. It may take some time though as I am over-worked with my day job!
