Charge vehicles' batteries/supercapacitors while waiting at the traffic lights!
Several European companies and organisations in the EVIAC group are trying to develop this technology.

No recent news of EVIAC but Nissan is still developing this technology.

ARUP are developing this technology at the moment. My understanding is that there will be trials in Milton Keynes.
I'm writing up an article on this technology at the moment. I'll post it up when I'm complete.
