It's my guess that most of the 'Teams' at the moment are Universites and I think they're talking up their numbers. They seem to be getting gradually higher, Kingston University were only talking about a top speed of 70+mph at the TTXGP launch. You can acheive 60mph on about 6Kw on a conventionally f...

From the TTXGP forum; Qualification minimum will be average 50mph. Our expectation is an average speed of between 70-90 mph. On the straights we would expect 100mph+. These are the performance figures gained from consultation with teams and engineers. This will be a race and not an exhibition lap. P...

The Brusa Permenenant Magnet DC controllers worked this way. I just took a glance at the Brusa website (www.brusa.biz) and they're not listed there any more.
The manual is still avalable though.

I've seen a Ford Fiesta with two Lynch/Lemco (not certain which version) motors in that kind of setup not be able to drive up onto a tilt bed trailer. It just didn't have enough torque. The efficiency of the Etek seems to fall off rather badly over 350 amp and there is another consideration that see...

So if I'm understanding correctly, as a private/personal car (not PLG - I'm hoping it will be 'sports') PLG; Private / Light goods is (was) the standard classification for a car. Now you have all the CO2 classes and I don't know how that appears on the document. I'll have to declare this to the DVL...

There used to be some confusion on the MOT point. From what I was able to find out, Commercial vehicles of under 1250Kg unladen (I think) were exempt from testing. This was really to allow milkfloats to operate contiunously, without having to lose a day on the test. They were considered to be 'fleet...

If you remember Jeremy, we were discussing the problems of obtaining sufficiently low duty cycles to get good low speed control. I assumed you had an incomplete knowledge of EMC becuase every article I've read on power switching design says stay away from hard switching if you can. I have friends wh...
