Re: pallet truck method of battery removal
That's a relief to know that it was just bad luck and not abuse, thank you, and the cracks and hole in the case, where top joins side, part of same problem I guess.
What should I expect to pay for a reasonable part used battery?

Re: yellow blingo van in mid lincs
The yellow one in the picture could have been the one I saw. What's the history of that one?
Do we know how many were originally made of each , rhd, colours, sliding doors, other variations etc? Bit of a bus spotter question, I realise just interested.....

Re: pallet truck method of battery removal
Aha! I see. I take your point ....when I last watered, day or so after the initial problem, it took 12 l and overflowed from the bank ,as expected.
I'm wondering now if it lost some coolant, took the watering, lost sime more, then melted....that would explain sequence of events..

as used in the beautiful Berlingo range. As per previous posts, I am very keen to get back on the road somehow. Can't tolerate the sniggering petrol heads for much longer ;-) I need a type D at least to replace the melted one possiblely more depending on load test results Thanks in advance for your ...

Re: Power cuts = no transport
That's interesting. When I bought the blingo last june, part of the calculation was the not very well thought out plan of using its traction batteries as solar energy storage when they ultimately gave up. I wasn't expecting it to be so soon :-( We have a ground mounted grid tied system which produce...

Re: Blingo batteries
I'm up for at least 2 Gs. One is cracked at top and has lost half it's coolant. Melted at bottom and stuck to it's neighbour.
Will be testing mine further this week to see if any others weak....
