Re: Got another Electrique, some questions to other owners please

As with all vehicles, the charger is built into the vehicle. So it makes no difference what the Charge outlet is, it wont charge any faster. Yes you can plug a Berlingo into any Type 2 Charge outlet, (but not one with a flying lead) with an adptor. I do make one suitable for them. It is possible to ...

Re: a red electrique.. electrolyte warning lamp question

Maintenance charge and watering first.
Also check the temperature readout on the evlite. If above 35c then you probably have a faulty temp sensor. I do them rebuit on an exchange basis. or you can go the Official Citroen route and buy a new 4 cell battery for around £3k.

Re: Gearbox/diff problem?

You need to do the maintenance charge and watering. WIth that done , and at least one extra charge after you can see just how poor the pack is.

Re: Disposal of old lithium batteries

I have a customer looking for a couple of spare 200ah Hipowers if there are any going. I also have a large quantity of 160ah cells waiting for an appropriate economic disposal route. Its interesting how companies are trying to walk away from the issue. Axiom are now part of Johnson Matthey who dont ...

Re: Gearbox/diff problem?

Just disconnect the bottom arm. Its clamped onto the strut so no splitting needed, undo the lower clamp, open the joint take the ball joint out downwards. Or undo the inner mounts and swing the whole arm out. Big nut in the middle on the driveshaft is a bastard though. Go for the two man approach. S...

Re: Gearbox/diff problem?

Sounds bad, but if only one side is doing this check what is turning on the gearbox outoput rather than the wheel, it may just be a failed driveshaft. Otherwise its a motor out job. and probably lots of work.

Re: Velo Advance Community E-bikes crowdfunding bid

Good luck with the project, I still dont get what you are trying to do what the money is for and what the outcome will be. Sorry but its really not obvious, and thats what you have to be. "Velo Advance is an innovative project that aims to make affordable, practical, up-to-date electric bikes (...

Re: Am I being too hopeful about insurance cost? (CT&T E-range van)

With a vehicle like this, the insurers are taking a high risk with any damage, as with virtually no spares being available, the vehicle would be written off. Not desperately fair, but thats insurance. Try negotiating a third party only insurance. If its considered a van ie commercial vehicle that wi...

Re: Axiam Mega Van - Hydrogen Fuel Cell as replacement for the battery

WIth a lead acid the higher the rate of discharge the faster the voltage drop, the faster the rate of voltage drop the higher the current. Thats why lifepo4 etc are so good because they dont suffer the constant voltage drop so performance and current can be well controlled. Lifepo4 etc can deliver 3...
