Re: 41.3p per kwh sell back
Make sure that you are below the 4Kw limit otherwise the feed-in-tariff goes down, i.e. not 41.3 p/kw

London : 16-18th Novemb : Eco2transport
Hi, It is a commercially orientated show, but just thought I would let you know that it is on. From their webpage at http://www.eco2transport.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Eco2 Transport is not an academic talking shop, it is an "act now" solutions-orientated, busin...

Re: 41.3p per kwh sell back
It might be scare mungering but it looks like the FIT for new applicants might be at risk.
Probably best to sign petition anyway at http://wesupportsolar.net/

Re: Charging Points - comments please
Wow - excellent work Kevin ! Keep up the good work. A couple of points for thought a) It sounds like you may have some comment on the BVS's EV Charging Point Recommendations Installation Guide . There was always a plan to re-issue this document and it sounds like this might be a good time to review ...

Re: Low Carbon Show, Millbrook
If we say who we are then I am sure they will invite us.
I went last year and it is an ideal opportunity - but we will need to look reasonably professional.
Depending on other factors I may be able to attend.

Re: What should the BVS be for?... in a mass market EV world.
Mary Completely agree. Especially we should be doing what the members want. However, we must be mindful of the situation if members don't say what they want, i.e. does the BVS have a role these days. Ed, Gosh - Although I try to support new ideas, this will need thinking through. Because of that I s...

Re: Test SAFT batterys under load as a well as by voltage
That is the plan
The unbalancing is unlikely as I did part initialisation charge (which only got me an extra 10%)
I will take more accurate readings when rerunning tests.

Re: Charging efficiency
Just of the top of my head switching electronics, e.g. switched mode chargers and inverters are about 85% efficient. I wouldn't have said PVs are useless. They are good in that they are less intrussive on installation and have a high feed in tarriff return You could save a lot in conversion losses b...

Test SAFT batterys under load as a well as by voltage
This maybe obvious to some of you, but I have included here as it gives real data to back up the practice. Before examining my Berlingo batts, I ran the vehicle until low charge light came on (at about 45%) to help identify the weakest cells. All cells (within the middle pack) were within 0.02v apar...
