Re: Blingo wont go (or will it?)
This is the beauty of this club/forum. Little gems like this do not appear in any manuals & without fellow enthusiasts sharing their problems, they become insular & useless. Once you have experienced something like this, it is never a problem to you again, but how many other poor souls will ...

Berlingo heaters
Hello folks. It appears that I am not alone in my frustration at the rather erratic performance of my Blingo heater. Works perfectly every time I switch it on throughout the summer period, then when it turns cold & I really need it, it gets itself in a twist & starts working sporadically. I ...

Re: That other old one on eBay
I was told last year that Webasto still support our heaters. My own experience of Webasto from my lorry business days, is that they are a very good company with a realistic pricing structure for service & maintenance. It might be worth enquiring from them. When we had trouble with the lorries, t...

Re: Motor oil seals - where to buy?
Ref the oil seal issue. Before I retired I had a hydraulic business. Oil seals are measured thus, in both imperial & metric, the number is usually on the outer face. OD first, ie, 33- then ID= 33-21- then thickness/depth = 33-21-5 For Imperial, the measurements are in usual fractions format. If ...

Re: Blingo versus the rest!
Replying to Jeremy. I only spoke with two or three of the development guys, so it is possible that the main team are aware of the Blingo. To be fair & to a degree to my embarrasment, they all looked as though they should still be at school. Just shows how old I am. Lovely lads though, with an op...

Re: Berlingo servicing
You are so right. I am constantly amazed at how far behind the Blingo these so called wonder vehicles are, that keep popping up over the parapet. I've driven two so far, that do not even get close to the comparitive sophistication of the Citroen. I'm sure that hidden powers scotched the mass use of ...

Re: Berlingo servicing
Thanks Chris. I was sure it would be you who knew the answer. I shall go & have a look. I am confident there is no problem, but as you are aware, old hands need to know about oils & gearboxes from past sad experiences. I have a Morgan Three Wheeler, so I "do" know about low gearbox...

Berlingo servicing
Although I have no indication of any problem, I am intrigued enough to want to know if there is any need to top up any oil in the transmission or epicyclic gearbox on the end of the motor. Having been a motor engineer for most of my life I am aware that such things do consume or leak over a period. ...

Re: My book is finally out
Well done Mike & congratulations.
I am currently aiming to get a book published so I know what hoops you must have jumped through.
Best of luck with it & I'm off to Amazon now to order a copy.
