Thanks for your interest guys. Currently with only half the batteries fitted it is a 10p 10s array. When I add the tank battery this will be in parallel so voltage remains 38V or so. Motor current limit is 200A to be increased to 300A with the extra batteries. I was hoping for 60 mile range and 60 m...

Here are some details on my electric motor cycle conversion. I have posted a few comments on the Li Poly batteries I am using so here are some details on the rest of the project. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg111/granada203028/LeftSide.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg111/granada20302...

I have proceeded with the project and bought 200 for approx £3K + £1K to get them here. Re - safety they were air freighted without comment and come with a comprehensive data sheet. This includes destructive tests of over charge/discharge, puncturing etc guaranteeing no fire. Some of these Li ...

Alternative to Thunder Sky LCP
With the increased cost and difficulty in obtaining the Thunder Sky LCPs I have been looking at alternatives. Other Chinese LiFePO4 being the obvious one but also a parallel approach of polymer cells. The poly cells perform very well but are still expensive. The links show pictures of a 100Ah cell u...

I acquired some used Ni Cad aircraft batteries a couple of years ago. Mostly with 35Ah cells. What was very impressive with them was how well they had survived unused for 15 - 20 years. Looked dry but just adding some distilled water they all charged up fine. Energy density is only much the same as ...

Can you take it apart further and see the individual plates? What is the history of the cell, how long did it last and how did it fail? Is the electrol...
