Re: Got my donor car! MR2 mk2 G Limited

Hi stranger! lol The reality with bike manufacturers and pulley sizes depends on a few factors. Shock loads, fool proofing, unobtainium (to buy through them only) and what looks good. Cedrics agni powered bike uses a 20mm belt. The primary drive belts fitted to choppers are like 3" wide for no ...

Re: Duff/weak cell?

Check your cell data sheet for operating temperatures, typically charging is allowed between 0 - 45 C. Don't forget to add a low temp cutout as well. Lithium must not be charged below 0 degrees C. Fascinating statement. What, in any form of Li cell shows a change of state relating to the temperatur...

Re: My EV lives!

I suppose at a weight of 725lbs with 340 lbs lead batteries he was headed for a spanking :(

Re: Got my donor car! MR2 mk2 G Limited

Hey thanks for that buddy. I possess a BMW R1100GS so know of shaft drive rears. Wouldn't use one of those because shafts are more draggy. The offset is very different from the Honda VFR too. BMW 800 twins etc. are all single sided swinging arm with a big belt drive. I'm into 14" rims all round...

Re: My EV lives!

Alas Andrew, Having read your evalbum. http://www.evalbum.com/3061" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If you omit the lead for LI*'s you will halve the weight and have 3x the charge. They suffer considerably less voltage sag, work hard as h*ll until there is next to no charge and will la...

Re: Duff/weak cell?

Don't forget to fit any cell back in at the same state of charge as the rest of the pack or you will be doing damage.

Re: A pedelec and throttle question (Magic Pie Motor)

Hi Friend, I'm doubting its the hub motor itself that needs you to cycle but the motor controller. There are a few UK cycle shops around that should be able to help but expect to pay money for a new controller at the very worst. Tim, Can young Andy help here because he seems knowledgeable about Gold...

Re: Duff/weak cell?

I think everyone will agree your problem is not solved until you are sure all your cells sit at the same state of charge, preferably from the bottom.

Re: Got my donor car! MR2 mk2 G Limited

I'm impressed! It does look a little bit heavy though. Get that motor liveried up like a fairground steam boiler. Arvind did not come back to me with details on the latest oversized Agni motor which he said will be in production soon, the first 50 off. I'm now considering 2x 10Kw BLDC Golden ...
