Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (with problems!)

No you could never get the temp sender from Citroen, it was only ever available as part of the top battery box. Replacement. Remove the 12v battery Remove the rear battery box fuse, Remove main controller. Disconnect and remove the Motor cooling fan. Disconnect the watering manifold . Disconnect the...

Re: How do I Maintenance charge? Anyone have instructions for EVLITE?

Not unusual, not good. Water at 500 hrs on the evlite, or around 2000 miles. DOnt wait for the watering light to come on. Thats too late. It will take a couple of recharges for the benfit to be seen, as a fair bit of the plates have probably been uncovered.

Re: How do I Maintenance charge? Anyone have instructions for EVLITE?

Has to be 12 to 18 hrs after the main charge has been completed. On some the watering ligh goes on, others it does not. The periodic charge is to main tain the temp . yes 37c is temp. So main charge is completed, it does that after the pre set over charge. Dont fuss about the pulsing, just disconnec...

Re: How do I Maintenance charge? Anyone have instructions for EVLITE?

You need to leave it at least 12 or 18 hrs after main full charge has been achieved. You have to then water before 72hrs after maint charge after that it shuts down.
After, charge , reset water. Often takes more than one go.

Re: Berlingo steering rack

The non load 12v current to the power steering pump is small, going up to 50 to 70amps under load. AT no load the pump just bypasses. None that I know of were supplied without power steering. I dont believe it is worth the effort or inconvenience to get a tiny amount extra from the main pack. Changi...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (now won't start!)

The evlite and Lexia/planet log the over charge hours, The watering light comes on at around 750 hrs from memory but I have always recomended that around 2000 miles or about 500 hrs is safer. You can also use the evite and Lexia/planet to reset the hours after you have watered the pack. Ask the sell...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (now won't start!)

Depends when it was last done, what you describe looks like a duff cell. How many hours on the meter, and /or how many miles since it was last maint charged? If I have a vehicle that is unknown with regard to maintenance, then I will water before I maintenance charge. But I fully charge first, as so...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (now won't start!)

Then Dc to DC working Ok, But it may still be related to the 12v battery. No idea of UK numbers but it was a lot more than 50. Europe sold many hundreds. But overall I think there was probably less than 1000 of them. None of them had airbags, the Mk2 wasnt really different apart from the front metal...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (now won't start!)

No imobiliser is fitted, any chips in the key are just there because they used std Berlingo parts. There is no aerial around the ign switch and no immobiliser circuits. Reverse jolt relatively normal. Reverse light controlled by the main controller, turned on when the drive is put into reverse. 12.3...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (now won't start!)

To start the following must be followed 1. No foot on accelerator (It doesnt have a microswitch, its just a potentiometer), but if the rest value isnt read then you can have problems of the computer allowing the main contactor to engage. Try lifting the pedal up, taking the pot wiper back to its res...
