Re: Gearbox Identification Help

I think the easy way would be to count the turns. Even if you identify the type of gearbox there could be any choice of ratio in it.

Re: Tyres

Yes, I'm not convinced it ever regained that.. It was on super-inflated, nearly bald michelin X van tyres to start with which wasn't really sustainable. Great milage though!

Re: Tyres

I had the same tyres as Cian on mine, they lasted 4 years and something like 50,000 miles.

No problems with them, quiet and very grippy. I'm sure something better for rolling resistance can be found though.

Read it on your evlite. Watch what it does while charging until it stops.

Re: do berlingos batts lose charge if left sat

Either the charger thinks the batteries are charged (what does the voltage do when you plug it in?) or it's stopping due to a fault. The 12V battery light should not be coming on but let's treat that seperately.

Double check that water is flowing in the narrow side of the radiator.

Re: Charging problem - pump more noisy + red light flicks on

You won't damage it by driving with a broken radiator fan. The worst that can happen is that the charger stops early due to it (not the batteries) reaching the thermal limit. And even then you can get away with this during winter months by leaving the bonnet open when it's charging, as heat convects...

Re: newbie ev berlingo owner:heater not working

On some of them there's a cut-off switch that turns the heater off based on the fuel level (so that the heater doesn't run out completely and then lock out). If the light won't come on when you press the button (even with a full tank) then it's that. On every one I've seen with this feature it's bro...

Re: Power Gauge

Series fuses will make no difference as there's no significant current flowing. However, most panel meters are very susceptible to noise, and there's a lot of noise on the pack terminals. A good multimeter might verify whether it's reading correctly or not.

It varies slightly with temperature. Mine comes on at about 137 as well though.
It's not that conservative and I wouldn't want to push it any lower - I very rarely go below 150V to be honest.
