Re: Renault / Nissan LEAF battery modules in UK/EU?

Hi, what is the thread topic or link on the es forum, I'll check it out. Thanks. No lithium in that report, can see more relevance in the Dreamliner issues. My modules arrived and shipping turned out not too expensive either, so 12 modules at my door for ~1200€ (note good exchange rate for US$ atm)....

Re: swapping wet cells for gel..advice needed

Hi tim, I'm assuming your £1400 spend is on batteries, and I'm assuming your target voltage is 48v. Why not consider instead the purchase of a used set of thunder sky's lifepo4, you'd need 16 of them, not sure if grumpyb has any left from the stock he has acquired in the past, but I think that would...

Re: South Wales Informal Meeting Proposal

Hi tiger bay, My brother is also looking to go ev, his boss ( and company director) has already got a leaf and he is hopeful that a decision will be made soon whether the company will install a charge point at the site, that will sway his decision as he hasn't got off road parking to charge himself ...

Re: South Wales Informal Meeting Proposal

I would attend, haven't got an ev but a prius plug in hybrid self built conversion.

I am though for sure seeking to purchase an ev sometime in the future when the prices drop to a level I can afford.

Just post when and where it will be held.

Many thanks, Anthony

Re: Early Versions BMS taking down cells when vehicle not ch

Hi Nick, I have a plug in hybrid kit fitted into a prius, its got 76 cells in series, i would be interested in the tech details of your system, and maybe the newer version. I have pm ed you too. Thanks, Anthony. If anyone is interested in the technical details, I'd be happy to share them. However, I...

Re: Charging problem, mobility scooter.

One thing to try, Remove both batteries, measure the voltage on each battery individually, Charge them both individually with a 12v car charger. Measure the voltage individually, they should read the same voltage, ie 12.5v. Fit both batteries back into the scooter, check the voltage when fitted as a...

Re: Charging problem, mobility scooter.

Update on my charging problem. I grudgingly bought 2 new 80aH batteries, but the damn charger STILL occasionally flashes and ticks. Other times it behaves impeccably. Any other ideas, or do I now need to think about changing the charger too? (This was Invacare's suggestion, but it sounded a bit hal...

Re: Charging problem, mobility scooter.

Hi Davy, My son used to have a invacare spectra plus until last week, and i encountered the same issue as you on a few occaisions. In our case it was the batteries that were giving abit of an issue, they were changed by our local authaurity wheelchair service and the problem went away. When the batt...
