Re: Blingo short range.

I knew I could rely upon you guys. Thanks a lot, very much appreciated. I bought myself a motorcycle scissor lift and welded four pieces of angle iron on, then fitted four normal furniture castors on. It works like a dream. Run the vehicle onto the ramps, wind up and after releasing the fixings mere...

Blingo short range.

Hello Boys. Can anyone tell me where the fuses are for the lower front battery pack. I had some cells from Highend and replaced two in the rear pack. Then the controller failed and it went to Evan for a long time to be repaired. Since then my range has been limited to 20 miles or so. Recently it has...

SAFT Cells

I'm still in need of a few cells for my Blingo. I'm down to 20 miles a charge now and rarely use it. Highend offered to meet me with some, but that didn't happen. Evan said that he would soon have some but is no longer answering my e-mails. Has anyone else got three or so good cells to sell so that ...

Re: Clunk

As I threatened, I found a nice day, well morning really, and jacked the front end up. Before taking the wheels off I checked the back-lash. There is some but it appears to be inside the housing, nothing wrong with the shafts in view. I then checked the gear oil. It took about one small yellow oil c...

Re: Batteries for Berlingos, or run with a ION or I-Miev

In response to Grumpy's ref to the Beford CF's. A longtime friend was working at Lucas at the time. He recalls the day they decided to show the 'world' about range. They loaded the old CF with loads of Lucas spares in cardboard boxes, but in fact the lower layer had got batteries therein, wired thro...

Re: Clunk

Good idea that. Now why didn't I think of that. I'll do it in the morning whilst the sun is shining.

Re: Clunk

Thanks for that. I had left my van with a friend whilst I went to Australia. He took it to the Citroen agents due to the water light coming on. (he was not going to use it, but fell in love with it) They gave him a big bill for a full service including the gearbox oil (2 litres!! of 'gear oil') I su...

Re: Clunk

'Reply to highend'. The clunk is not electrical. It is clearly from the driveline. It never drops the contact out, as in the clunk when you switch on. I'm not sure if the 12 volt battery would influence the symptoms that I have, though I may be wrong of course. I will in any case do a check for the ...

Re: Batteries for Berlingos, or run with a ION or I-Miev

My Blingo has always done low fifties for mileage. 'I' have never driven in the red unless really needing it. Short times on steep hills etc and I generally keep to 40 mph. It came from Westminster Council and was the van that did all the disabled access and door knob jobbies, so I assume it never w...

Clunk

Hello boys and girls. I am awaiting some batteries at the moment to cure my charging light coming on early, however, I have another query. My Blingo has always sounded a bit like a milk float upon starting off. Just a slight muted clunk as the drive takes up you understand. I assumed that because of...
