There is an article in the Focus magazine this month detailing the i-MiEV, G-Wiz and Mega eCity.
Focus reckon the i-MiEV is the best buy but they also mention a price of £25,000!

The turbine is expected to last 20+ years but parts etc. can be replaced so possibly it could go on a lot longer. Base would be there indefinitely.
