Thanks for the information. I had already caught a few of the lines that were remed out. I had set the number of slaves to 2 (that is all that I built right not). I am using 90 Ahr Thundersky batteries. I changed the code to allow 650 Ahr cells max. I am using a simple 16x2 LCD display for now. I pl...

For now I am just going to rem out the watchdog portion of the code. I had already verified the 10k and 22k resistors. I will see if it will work with one of the two known working chips in the slaves. If not, I will try your power-up trick. I am about to power everything up and wanted to make certai...

Peter, For some reason I am having trouble programming the watchdog IC. I have successfully programmed two of the slaves and the master but all I get is "Hardware not found on Com1" when I try to program the watchdog. I have verified I am getting 5 volts between pins 1 and 8 on the watchdo...

Peter, I am going to show my ignorance here..... The chips that you sent are Microchip PIC chips. I was under the assumption that Picaxe chips were different from Micrchip chips. Are they the same chips but just use different software? The reason this doesn't make any sense to me is the Micochip PIC...

Peter, I have been looking at some displays similar to the one that you are using. I noticed that yours seems to have a resolution of 640x480 (standard RGB). The more common displays I have found here in have a resolution of 480 x 234. Do you think this will make much of a difference or should I kee...

Peter, I have been looking at your code for the Master and had a question. In the "check cells" routine you have these two lines of code: PackVoltage = PackVoltage / 100 ;Get first part of decimal value (Before decimal point) poke PackV, WORD PackVoltage ;Store Pack Voltage in PackV Ram Wo...

Peter,

Sorry to hear about the delay. I am very interested in your new approach. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I would be more than happy to put a second set of eyes on the layout.

Greg, I am currently using an analog board that I built myself for balancing my cells. It bypasses about 1.2 amps. I have 90Ahr Thundersky batteries. There have been a few times that I wish it had more bypass to keep an individual cell from going to high. My basic problem is that I don't have contro...

Peter, Great work.... I am very interested in your new approach to putting all of the slaves on one board so they can be mounted away from the EMI source. I noticed a few pages ago you all were discussing putting fuses on the sense leads. I highly recommend this as a good friend of mine had a fire o...
