Its not all as it appeared. I spoke to the people who engineered the stunt.

The G-Wiz chassis was cut in order to weaken it so that it would crumple properly. The table was made of steel plate and veneered to look like wood, and then secured using stakes.

Central - National Kit Car Show 4th 5th May 2008 - Show/AGM

The National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh is on Sunday 4th May and Monday 5th May this year. I don't know if the BVS plans to take part, but if so, I'd like to volunteer my services to help organise everything. It's a stone throw away from me anyhow, so I'll be along with my G-Wiz and my electric bike...

The new G-Wiz i has a new front crush zone developed with Lotus.

Here is a You-Tube video showing how the new car performs in a 25mph frontal impact:

Be My Valentine

Last year, the campaign for anti-4x4s or whatever they are called did a nice stunt on Valentines Day. They produced a 'We Love Your Car' card which they put on windscreens of G-Wizzes in London. It was a great little stunt and caused a lot of cheerfulness amongst G-Wiz Owners. I'm wondering if we co...

Greensaver Batteries

I'm looking at diffeerent battery alternatives for my G-Wiz. I love the idea of lithiums, but I don't love the price. Right now, I think I'd have the choice between a lithium-powered G-Wiz or a marriage, but not both. So I've been looking at what else is available. I'm potentially interested in the ...

This thread has gone awful quiet. Shame really, because I still think a roving roadshow - even if it only starts with one event - would be a good thing to do. I would have thought that we would be able to get a number of exhibitors interested in attending as well - BBIG, Modec, Vetrix, NICE, Aixam, ...

South: Sun 6th July '08: National BVS London-Brighton Run.

Well folks, is there going to be a London to Brighton event for 2008? I have had some interest from a couple of G-Wiz owners who would like to take part. I have also got confirmation that GoinGreen would be prepared to get involved in some way, shape or form, which has to be good news: their publici...

I would recommend you talk to Martin Rees of BBIG - http://www.bbig.co.uk. This is exactly the sort of project Martin would relish and as the current holder of the UK electric car land speed record - and with ambitions to break the world land speed record this year - he knows a thing or two about a ...
