Re: Maximite Master

ordered a maximite sm1 :) also, the sv2000 is coming back into stock at the end of next week, so it will be available again from speechchips.com if anyone is needing one. i think i'm going to buy one so i can have the option of either the master v2.0 or maximite, since i already have most of the par...

Re: Maximite Master

hmm...right now there's 44 maximite SM1's in stock at dontronics, and the duinomite is all out of stock. Any special reason to hold out for the duinomite? Would be nice to get one and start playing with it, sooner rather than later :)

Re: Maximite Master

sounds like it wouldn't be too hard to add an extra temp sensor on the battery pack and have the maximite monitor it and keep a relay closed as long as the temp is reasonable. I'm not sure how many of the I/O ports are already used and i don't remember if the slaves do temp monitoring, but we're sup...

Re: Maximite Master

Very interesting Greg! Have you had any luck with interfacing it with the slave boards yet? I'm still tinkering with setting up the master unit i have, i haven't gotten the SV2000 chip yet. This looks like it might be a better choice than using the V2.0 master that i have though.

thanks! i just got a huge box from mouser, some of those chip tubes are almost 2 feet long

hope all is well with everyone, i've been away from the forum a lot lately with work.

Re: Master Board Version 2

Got this PM from Issac. hey, i'm ordering up a bunch of components to build up a couple of master boards. the EEprom that's listed in the parts list i have is now obsolete, and i'm not positive what i should replace it with. the part number listed is AT24C512B-PU25. what constraints do i have to ke...

Re: 16 Cell Multi Slave Board

i'm going to be building a bunch of fuse boards, each board will have a connection to attach the bms, 9 connections for the batteries, and 8 fuse banks. since the packs we're using are already configured in 6 cell units, each fuse bank will have 6 fuses. so these boards are gonna have 48 fuses each....

Re: 16 Cell Multi Slave Board

okay, that's good to hear. i'll probably for a half amp, although i still want to try to move the load resistors off the board. when i used the minibms system, the heat from the load resistors would affect the resistance values of the rest of the board, and throw the voltage measurements WAY off. wo...

Re: 16 Cell Multi Slave Board

the batteries i'm building this system for are 5Ah turnigy lipo cells. each of 9 string is going to be tied together at the cell level, so each "cell" that the bms sees will be a 45 Ah cell. the bypass load transistor spec'd for the boards is good for up to 5 amps if used with a heat sink....

Re: Old BMS General Thread

i'm starting to order parts for my master board, and it looks like in the parts list all of the resistors are 1/4 watt resistors. i have access to a bunch of drawers of ressistors, but they're all 1/8th watt resistors. are there any resistors that for sure need to be 1/4 watt? or could i stick with ...
