Re: Southern : Sunday June 17th 2012 : Show

Not been about much due to personal/work stuff hence hobbies and fun have had to take a bit of a back seat but all being well I will be at this event, not up to speed on who is going as thats TerryH's department. Hoepfully it will be as good a turn out as last year.....just with better weather.....a...

Re: Charging points and Renault Zoey

Not blaming renualt. Someone has finally produced a pretty normal looking hatchback for a seemingly doable amount. But the monthly battery cost will mean an automatic no for many, including me.. Look around on the second hand market, the little Citreon C1 conversion is really nice (there are a coup...

Re: Southern : Sunday June 17th 2012 : Show

Right well those that attended in 2011 "should" have recieved a invite from the museum for this year. As you can see from the pics, while the weather was somewhat damp we had a good turn out and a lot of fun, this year we are offically listed in their events list and thus even more public ...

Re: EV-network now charges £3

Dont suppose theres any deals for BVS members i.e if your a BVS member you get access? I can just see that possibley the BVS could start their own DB for their members who wish to allow charging

Re: Mega City car - premature battery failure

I've heard conflicting reports about battery conditioners, are they worth giving a go? Generally speaking once a battery has reached the end of its servicable life then thats that I'm afraid, no amount of messing and conditioning etc will bring it back. The best thing is to treat batteries carefull...

Re: Recommendations for a 'dry' lead acid battery for EV use

Have a look at http://www.secbattery.com . Their red top AGMs should be of interest to EV owners. I know forum member dillond666 has some and I used some of their front terminal gel cells in my volvo. They are the only battery manufacturer that actually publishes detailed discharge data for their c...

Re: Elecsol AGM

Thing is the Elecsol "isnt" a true traction battery, its a very good deep cycle battery or leisure battery, just I dont think they are good enough for EV use, like the majority of LA batteries if they are not selected correctly.

Re: New UK designed electric van

This has been the problem with so many electric vehicles, they are just too wacky for people to accept them. Blingos are great, How many times have the public said that to me ...i.e "if they made electric vehicles that didnt look like milk floats or noddy cars then I'd buy one, where can I buy...
