Re: Q Electric Milk Float - Any Information Please!

What is the controller. How have you judged the battery pack to be good. What load have you tried it under, and if you cant access the cells, how can you be certain they are ok. What does the vehicle actually do when the gauge says its getting empty. Does the vehicle cut back or just keep going. If ...

Re: Q Electric Milk Float - Any Information Please!

Is the engage being used as a stand alone device or is it connected to a curtis motor controller. How is the vehicle performing when the engage is suggesting you are low of power. Is every cell performing as it should? Access the battery terminals, jack the vehicle drive axle up, run the vehicle and...

Re: Fitting electric hook up in an electric van

On an Electrique the earth of the mains is connected to the chassis of the car. On current Electric vehicles, the earth pin of the charge plug is normally connected to the chssis earth. So no issues I would have thought.

Re: 30 mile range car for £2k?

Life is hard to predict. TESLA on the roadster expected the cars to do 50000miles and get to 70% that seems to be panning out, but the cells they used are very different to the large format ones. If you charge frequently, and under stress the cells, then I do believe that a 10+ year life id possible...

Re: 30 mile range car for £2k?

The cells are Thundersky 160ah, of which I have stock and access to a quantity of cells. They seem to age well and so new old stock lose very little capacity in storage. If the car goes OK and has a decent range then its likley to be OK . If it been out of use for a while then a good month of use sh...

Re: 30 mile range car for £2k?

Life of Lifepo4 cells is really about how you use them., They quote a life of around 2000 recharges, but thats full charge full discharge, in optimum temperature range. (ie not zero or below) and within the quoted c range. Thats one of the reasons I would reccomend not over charging or even charge t...

Re: 30 mile range car for £2k?

For £2k you are only going to get a low peformance Lead acid vehicle that will probably need a replacement pack in around ayear for 3/4 of what you paid for the car. You might pick up a decent berlingo, but you have the issue of replacement cells, I have some but supply is dwindling. I have Citroen ...

For testing the ah isnt important, just the voltage, and some way of mounting them.

Re: Aixam Mega City controller settings

I have the Curtis software and hardware connection, I use it extensively on the AC controllers, but the device and software will work on all the Curtis controllers. Im based near Colchester, and also have extensive contact and support from Curtis UK. I can also get repairs sorted via Curtis and supp...
