Hi Kelvin I believe these are similar in performance to the other 'nano-chemistry' batteries: A123 and Valence Saphion, both of which use nanophosphate, rather than nanotitanate. There's a wiki page with a little information about these batteries here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanobatteries . As ...

I've just joined the Thunder Sky discussion group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ThunderSky/ and will be scouring the archives to learn as much as I can, but in the meantime I wonder if anyone has any first-hand experience with the new generation of lithium iron cells shown on the Thunder Sky...

I was wondering the same thing Mark. Trying to learn as much as I can about lithium, but it's hard to find much solid information. I still don't quite understand though, Nikki. If the cells expand as they heat up, won't you increase the pressure inside the cells if you restrain them, and make them e...

You don't want the insulation melting back, or the solder wicking up the cable and losing flexability. Good points. I've done both of those :) You definitely need to practice first with some spare cable and terminals, but I found that by using a small blowtorch flame to heat the terminal fairly qui...

I really haven't seen good quality CRIMP battery clamp terminals in the UK and would definitely NOT recommend the solder type. Just wondered why you wouldn't recommend soldering terminals? I used cable terminals from here http://cse-distributors.co.uk/cabmgmt/coppertube.htm , and soldered them to m...

Hi qdos Would the G Wiz have been as successful if it looked like a Ford Fiesta Good point. Probably not, but don't you think it would have been even more successful if it had looked like a Cree Sam http://www.cree.ch/ ? I wouldn't class the Zest as a noddy car by the way, I'd say it was an all-out ...

Hi Paul, Snap! This has got to be a case of great minds thinking alike  I just posted a picture of my own Cagiva-based, Etek/Alltrax-powered bike in the conversions section. Yours is cleverer though, using the jackshaft to raise the motor and make more space for batteries. Love to see some mor...
