I think you should go and look and the Nissan ENV200 van - may be a good fit for you. You can choose to lease or buy the battery.

and that is because if they marked them as hazardous goods it would be nigh on impossible to ship them and if they could it would be very expensive indeed.

Re: Another EV bike :)
fakes always appear. I remember reading of an imported EV from china that reportedly had several sets of batteries fail - so the purchaser decided to chop open a battery and found that half of the lead plates were missing and there was sand in the bottom to make up the weight !!!!

Re: Another EV bike :)
I think it would be alot of effort to try and shuffle the power around the pack to balance it. Would it not just be easier to monitor the voltage of each section of the pack - would cell balancing not happen within each part of the pack naturally as all the cells are connected in parallel?

Re: Another EV bike :)
That is some great work there. So, the pack is 100ah at 37 volts - 3.7 kwh. Do you know what the weight of it is so far? I am thinking that I may well start to build a small pack for myself. I want a 24 volt pack that I can use to run my travel fridge from on a day out, so I am looking for around 14...

Wow Chris, that is great work and amazing to see. You really have been putting in some effort there.
Good to not that when you connected one pack to your motor that the coltage drop wasn;t too much - lets hope it is the same when it come to some real testing.

Hi Steve,
You certainly have been busy with all of those cells. Glad to see that you are still marching forward with it all. I wish I had the time and drive that you seem to do.

Re: Fully charged but Amps is lowered when it accelerates
I have to agree with Grumpy-b 62 volts does seem very low to me. In the summer time in nice warm weather my car voltage will be around the 75 volts under heavly loads - and in the winter this will drop to about 70 volts. If I do not use the car regularly, and the battery pack sit for days getting ve...
