Re: Buying batteries from China

How large a pack are you looking to build.
I have some 30ah Li ion LG pouches, taken from some larger blocks. In the UK and available.
Tabs are a reasonable size, if you are interested email me at sales@ev-support.co.uk
I can send you some photos.

Re: Berlingo Electrique fault diagnosis

Absolutely no idea. If you are looking to repair it I had assumed you knew what you were doing. You will need to test the various parts including the contactor to work out whats failing. No point in taking stuff out if is not the part at fault. If the contactor isnt closing , is it a faulty contacto...

In the base of the control box in a plastic casing. You have to take out the DC to DC then the Charger then you can get the the control electronics where contactor sits above .

Since you dont know the state of the pack when it was last maintained etc, water it , (Not std procedure but vital when condition is unlnown to prevent further damage by the maint charge)then maintenance charge then water again. Only then can you start to assess just how bad the pack is.

If someone is looking to get funds for any business then you need to be able to explain what you are doing , provide a business plan, and answer questions. That means ...

Re: Disposal of old lithium batteries

I have a customer looking for a couple of spare 200ah Hipowers if there are any going. I also have a large quantity of 160ah cells waiting for an appropriate economic disposal route. Its interesting how companies are trying to walk away from the issue. Axiom are now part of Johnson Matthey who dont ...

Re: Velo Advance Community E-bikes crowdfunding bid

Good luck with the project, I still dont get what you are trying to do what the money is for and what the outcome will be. Sorry but its really not obvious, and thats what you have to be. "Velo Advance is an innovative project that aims to make affordable, practical, up-to-date electric bikes (...

Re: Am I being too hopeful about insurance cost? (CT&T E-range van)

With a vehicle like this, the insurers are taking a high risk with any damage, as with virtually no spares being available, the vehicle would be written off. Not desperately fair, but thats insurance. Try negotiating a third party only insurance. If its considered a van ie commercial vehicle that wi...
