Right, I think I've got it. I'm going to tow a G Wizz backwards on a dolly hitch (i.e a two wheeled trailer) with the back two wheels raised in the dolly. If we are stopped by the law we can always claim we are recovering the EV with a nonchalent shrug of the shoulders 'Electric cars hey officer, wh...

Hello Qdos,
I think that refers to the Ka's inability to tow rather than be towed. If it's a case of chancing towing back an empty trailer on my EV then I think I'll chance it and hope that the old bill have bigger fish to fry :)

After speaking to a helpful guy who sells the Elettrica he said that it can be towed with all 4 wheels on the road by an A-Frame at speads upto 45mph. Any higher and you risk damage to the motor. He said that this will be the case with all and every EV. I would love to use a trailer however my busin...

I know what you mean about the mini bike thing but I wouldn't want to ride around London on a little bike on a snowy Tuesday morning at 3am. I don't suppose many of my drivers will either. Moral issues aside I think we could be in breach of health and safety laws expecting our drivers to ride on min...

I will get a bit more clarification from the guys at GoinGreen on the reasons behind their 20mph towing advice. I will post their reply.
Cheers, :?

Hello Chris, Thanks for getting back. I believe you can tow upto 750kg on an A-Frame without linking it to a braking system so a G-Wiz fits this. The sales guy at GoinGreen gave me the info on the max 20mph towing limit, it's something to do with the fact that the drive system can't be disengaged fr...

On the pull - Advice required for towing an electric car.

Hello Guys,
I'm looking to tow a small electric car behind my van on an A-Frame style hitch however I've had problems finding the right car.
I can tow a G Wiz but only at speeds not exceeding 20mph so this isn't an option.
Any ideas or suggestions are very welcome.
Cheers :)
