Has anyone here ever experimented with the CANview V3+ ? I'm hoping to get one over the summer so that I can fit it in Velma while the weather is good.
I've been researching PHEV conversions and it doesn't seem that expensive to do if you're willing to do the DIY route...

What happens if you do something wrong are you likely to re-program your prius as a toaster or kettle
Knowing what happens if you flash a bios chip wrongly and your lovely laptop or mobile phone then suddenly turns into nothing more than a handy hunk of plastic with some metal bits in it I think I'd be some what concerned that you could end up with a similar handy hunk of metal and plastic, except this ones easier to move as it comes with handy wheels attached

Luckily the CanView doesn't actually reprogram the car. That is, it won't unless you delve deep into it's programming!
In it's stock form the CanView has been used in a huge number of PHEV conversions so provided I stick to the instructions I'll hopefully be okay
Besides, A Prius which toasts as well as drives.. Hmmm..
