Introduction: OS Elektromobily ~ Czech EV Club

Postby Fufunka » Mon Jul 30, 2007 10:34 pm

Hi, please let me just plug a link to our EV club based in Prague, Czech Republic. We have been around approx. as long as the BVS for roughly 30 years. There are more than 150 members in the books, but the active nucleus is obviously a bit smaller.

You might be interested in our more or less upto date gallery covering recent months of activities:

Just a few weeks ago we were helping the Solartaxi expedition as they passed through our country. Some pictures with English caption might be found also here:

I dare to say we managed to acquire one of the best media outreach for them so far. Several TV news channels and other media were covering the event. I hope they will make a stop in the UK on their way from the US back to Europe as well, so your club might help help them too. This is a great opportunity to inform the public about electric vehicles and solar mobility!

Our website which badly needs a redesign :@ )

Thanks
All best

Very cool. Perhaps we could add the links to the main electromobility site on our main news site at http://www.batteryvehiclesociety.org.uk ? :)

You should definately consider making a headline about that swiss-german SolarTaxi - first expedition around the world in electric-solar vehicle.. I think they already crossed to ME/Asia as they entered Turkey.

Check their route though, I'm not sure they plan to visit the UK, after the US segment of their tour. In any case I can provide you with a contact for the team leader Mr. Palmer or you can try contact them directly from their websites. They will most certainly consider any important invitation.

Hi Nikki,

If you look at the tour map there seems to be a small detour for the London area or southern UK.
This will take probably a year or so anyway, so can get ready..

I'll pm you the contacts..

Thank you very much. I wonder if they would be interested in a slightly different route in the UK. Perhaps we could arrange to join them with a convoy of EVs to support?

Southern UK fits in with me very well  it would be great to meet up with them and perhaps organise some events of some kind :)
