I am now using (36) used 12 volt 75ah @ 20 hour rate AGM batteries in my GMC G-Van. I get about 20 miles per charge. I am thinking of installing 36 Trojan T-105 golf cart batteries with a watering system. They are rated at: 225ah @20 hr, 185ah @ 5 hr. What milage should I expect from the Trojans?
Thank you

Re: Golf Cart batteries for my G-Van
Hi, looks like you have been waiting a while for a reply!
As a golf buggy dealer and battery refurbish distributor, a 36v set of T105's last 2 rounds of golf, off road. You can expect to get about 15-17 miles per charge. I would go for the T-125 or the T-145, these have a much better run time, although more expensive.
T-145 has an ah rate of 145mins at 75amps.
T-125 has an ah rate of 132mins at 75amps
T-105 has an ah rate of 115mins at 75amps
Most industrial and road going applications we have been involved with, use a minimum of the T125 battery.
Hope this helps

Re: Golf Cart batteries for my G-Van
I'm not sure the controller will cope with 36 x 12 volts. It was designed for just 36 x 6 volt cells. A few extra volts is ok as I have used.
Unless you are running two strings of 18 ?
I used Yuasa 6v AGM's and they did good service. I always charged at less than 15 amps. They lasted me for 3 yrs, then I sold the van.
