Berlingo cut out whilst driving.

I had a really strange thing happen on Friday, my berlingo just cut out the stop light came up and the error light came on. No power. it was at about 65% charge.
Re-booted the system with a removal of the fuse etc. It came back on line , but now read 100% charge.
Its since been charged, and Ive also changed the brushes.
These appear to be the originals 1998 date E105 material and about half the wear used up. Not much wear in the last 10k miles and a total mileage of 21k.

All seems OK , but Im a bit mystified as to what happened. It does need a maint charge, but thats at about 600+hrs.

Any Ideas?
