Leaf battery trade in offer

Hi,
Just been informed by a friend of mine that he read in an auto car mag than nissan uk have announced a battery replacement offer of £4000 battery exchange plus a £1000 cash back if the battery has to be replaced after warranty, the article states only 3 pack failures out of 30000 vehicles.
Not bad offer, but I'd keep the battery as an energy store and forgo the £1000 cash back, battery is worth more than that to me If I had one to trade that is.
Would love topick up a leaf battery but they are like gold dust here at the moment, oneness at all around used anywhere that I can see.
