Anyone thinking of buying one of these? They're two grand, but they seem pretty cool... comes with detachable lithium batts - max range 40 miles (with a second battery).

Pretty nifty if it actually works. Being able to bring the batteries indoors means all sorts of opportunity charging opportunities are available - as long as you can also charge it the normal way!

I think that removable battery packs like this make a lot of sense for ebikes and scooters, I suppose the only question I'd ask about this one is why they are making such a fuss about something that's been around for years.

I particularly like the slide-in lithium packs that are common on ebikes like the eZee range. Slide-in battery cases and brackets, similar to those used on the eZee range and that scooter, can be purchased minus batteries, if you want to make you own pack.
