A varied weekend , with its fair share of drama. But overall, very worthwhile and made some new friends. So it cant be bad.
A full match report will follow, maionly coz I'm too shattered to type properly at the moment

Even bumped into JP !

Cheers qdos.

It was quite a demanding event. The Friday night was a disaster, the weather was really fierce. I had two brand new "pop-up" gazebo's positioned alongside a borrowed caravan. The gazebo's were joined and weighted down using eight car batteries, yet at 0330am Saturday morning I was rudely awoken by the airborne gazebo's smashing into, and damaging, the borrowed caravan  .One leg of a gazebo had flown several feet and landed amongst a group of C5s - the leg still had a battery attached

After that, the heavy rain continued to literally dampen my enthusiasm
The show itself was a complete washout on Saturday, with many of the exhibitors legging it.

I confess to being sorely tempted to pack up and run for home myself.

However, one of my C5 friends and myself took part in some early morning "gazebo origami" and built one perfect gazebo out of the two wrecked ones.

From that point on, everything started getting better and better.

The celebratory C5 run from the Hoover building back to the show ground was superb, the organisors had done us proud. Transportation, Police escort etc. Top job.

Sunday saw the weather improve, and our C5alive set-up looked very professional. We had a C5 demo area, several c5's lined up on display and a gazebo with a mini-el proudly on display.

The mini-el needed re-charging but my borrowed generator was too weedy to cope, so I managed to scrounge some lectrikery from a lovely lady in a coffee stand who had the worlds biggest generator. I left the mini-el there for several hours, but when I went to retrieve it she was sad to see it go. She said it had drawn a nice crowd to her coffee stand :D

I'll put more details into a proper article for the new plugged in mag, but this gives you a taster of what the event was like.

I should get round to sorting out some pictures and camcorder footage later, but still "squaring up" the house and garage !
