Some of the same old FUD type arguments. Questions without answers.

Q: Fuel Cell?
A: Price of platinum,
inefficiency of generating hydrogen as fuel,
cost of building network.

Q: Long tail pipe?
A: 1 power plant is easier to regulate that 1000s of cars,
EV motorist has ability to vote with their £ and support renewable energy buy buying power from companies that generate via renewables.

Paul Witherington from tranport UK was interviewed. He highlighted some of the common misunderstandings in his comments about electric cars.

"Just imagine everyone is in an electric car, where does the electricity come from?...."

That's not the plan.....governments want to a small percentage of their cars electric, not all.

"An efficient diesel car is better than an equivalent electric car."

It depends where the electricity is coming from. Electric cars move the responsibility from the motorist to the power supplier & policy makers.

Who are transport UK? Are they a lobby group.

I always struggle with that when they say it, a power station generating megawatts is always going to be far more efficient than a silly little wiesel engine pushing a single car along.
