Battery Vehicle Society

Hi Everyone, Does anyone have any experience in buying batteries (LiFePo4) from Chinese companies ??
I have found it difficult, to say the least, to source suitable batteries through Alibaba (and his 40 thieves? ). Getting the correct spec can be hard enough, but once over that hurdle there's the price issue - the price shown is nowhere close to what is asked when you show interest in buying. I'm particularly interested in Melsen modular pouch cells.
Has anybody bought batteries from China ? Got any tips ??

How large a pack are you looking to build.
I have some 30ah Li ion LG pouches, taken from some larger blocks. In the UK and available.
