Used 12vLA batteries?

I am thinking of getting some batteries for a small non road going vehicle as a learning test bed.
I have a 48v golf buggy motor and a Curtis 1214 controller.

I found these on Ebay:

Are they worth considering as a low cost pack for playing with or should I look elsewhere for something else?

I am not going to spend £100s on new batteries, it isn't worth while but I am looking for cheap as possible to get 48v.

Thanks.

I have used these batteries, but not from this seller, and they are very good and last a long time, several years. I have not used this ebay seller and am not sure of his credibility as he has an odd way of listing things sometimes whereby you appear not to be able to buy the batteries at the price you win them for.
Ebay item 220521077573 are much better and are what I have fitted to my truck. I purchased them from this seller, and he may negotiate on price as he has a lot to sell.

Thanks for that.
I think I will opt for the seller you mentioned.
