Car charging from wind generator

Postby floydster » Wed Jan 17, 2007 9:35 pm

Thought I'd ask here since I'm useless at working out this kind of stuff.

I've an electrician coming over tomorrow evening to discuss hooking a wind generator up to the house wiring. I was wondering how much power I'd use to charge an Enfield (or similar) so I know what size of kit to buy.

Thanks.

Might be a bit too late for this ?? but I'll see if I can help.

TBH your going to want a 13A or 3Kw supply really, most chargers will require a 13A supply and will suck up 3Kw or so for most of the time they are switched on, Alan Ward has or had a Enfield might be worth sending him a PM and ask him to post his answer here.

Thanks. No problem with timing because we were snowed in and the electrician never made it.

Nothing yet. Loads of ideas and questions for my electrician friend though.
