Postby arsharpe » Fri Oct 04, 2013 5:50 am

In order to promote electric vehicles effectively, it is important to present relevant information in the most digestible and easily understood way. The following will help to determine the best way to present cost savings.

There are many ways of presenting the cost savings and the most common are listed on our survey page. Simple select the one that you think is best and click [Done]. It's as simple as that.

If you have a better suggestion then please feel to add that to.

The results will be more accurate the more people enter their thoughts, so select yours now. Results will be posted here in a few days.

Look forward to seeing your preference.

[Done] ;-)

I said "Don't overdo it. Replacing £50 with £10 is 1/5th, nowhere near 1/10th" I think realistic honesty is much better than a best-case unachievable target.

Thanks Tim,

Just to clarify that all the entries are accurate and demonstrable compared to an average UK car doing 35 mpg, petrol/diesel prices at 2013 and charged from off-peak electricity.

The £10 part of the entry you mentioned was actually comparing against a good diesel doing 70 mpg, so should not have been included as it was inconsistent with all the other entries. For general rule of for 70 mpg is 1/5 or 20% of the cost and hence the £10, etc.

Thanks again.

The survey results are that 38% (11 of 29 people) said "save upto 90% in fuel costs" is the best way of describing EV fuel savings in the UK.

The survey will remain open for a while longer, so if still haven't contributed then please feel free to go the survey.
